Houzon® Safety Reflective Armband LED Light with 3 Flashing Modes-blue Review

My job as a crossing guard puts me outside in the dark quite often.  I also find myself outside in the dark for walks.  Even with reflective attire, it doesn't draw as much attention as flashing lights do.  So, I was in the market for a reflective LED armband when I came across the opportunity to get and try out this one.
Your basic armband with an LED strip inside, this one  is made of a sturdy nylon strap with a decorative  leopard print facing, a durable metal hook and a looped velcro portion with strong velcro.
The LED strip and  of control tucks inside the armband in a little pocket that runs the length of the product.  It can be easily removed for strap washing as well as battery replacement.
When turned on, the LED strip lights up blue and has three modes of operation - fast flash, slow flash, and steady on.  Each press of the button advances to the next mode.  Turning the unit off requires cycling through all three modes.
When lit, the armband is plenty bright and visible.
It is very easy to put the armband on and operate it while being worn.  y It is adjustable simply by pulling or loosening up on the length of band before securing with the velcro patch.  The battery life is reported to be 50 hours.  It runs on your basic button battery.

I feel more visible wearing this armband, and safer because of that.  This goes on my list of recommended products for sure.

Sprout's Cold Remedy Review

I am a big fan of treating things naturally as much as possible, avoiding extra chemicals and medications unless necessary.  On this path, I came across Sprout's Cold Remedy.
This liquid herbal supplement is loaded with good stuff to help aid in fighting off cold symptoms and restoring your health and well being.  The all-natural ingredients include:
Echinacea purpuera Herb
- Red Root
- Green Tea Leaf
- Elderberry Fruit
- Thyme Herb
- Red Clover Herb
- Myrrh Gum

This product is a brown liquid with a slightly oily consistency.  To use it, simply place a dropper full (directions ask for 25 drops, which I tested out to be a dropper full) into a glass of water and drink one to two times a day.
While I am a fan of essential oils and natural remedies, I am also a bit skeptical of something new until I see it really working.  So, I was hopeful but not a full believer.  However, with colds floating around my house, I was determined to give it a fair shot and began taking it with the first hint of sniffles.  A week later, I have not developed any cold symptoms such as cough, sore throat, congestion or sinus issues like my husband and children have.  At my suggestion, my highly skeptical husband gave it  at try and is on the mend much faster than he normally is, and has even found himself admitting he believes it has played a hand in helping him feel better faster..

Taste was my biggest fear, and I found it to be so negligible that it was a moot point for me.  What little I could taste reminded me of an herbal tea, so it was not big deal anyway.  My husband, who is much less tolerant of herbal tastes, also found it no big deal and hardly noticeable.

I will definitely be keeping this product on hand and am a new fan!

allreli 8-Pin USB Cable Review

With multiple Apple products in our house, we have several charger needs.  Unfortunately, some of the cheaper spare lightning cords I purchased have already failed and have left  me searching for something more durable and longer lasting.  So, when this package arrived in the mail, I was excited to test it out.
Very securely packaged, this 6 foot (yes, 6 foot, not the usual 3) cable was packaged in a big enough box to keep from having it kinked or scrunched into pinch points as others I have purchased did.  Instead, it was nicely coiled with plenty of room to move within the well sealed box.
I immediately loved how durable this cable feels.  The braided cord is super strong and flexible and the ends feel as if they are made of quality materials, not cheap.  The USB and 8-pin plugs do not bend in their cases as some others I have used do.
This cord is super long!
More than 6 feet (really, I measured!)
It plugs in to my phone just as it should, and immediately connects.  No need for jiggling or wondering if the error message will pop up saying it is incompatible.  Even with my Otterbox case on the iPhone 6, it plugged right in with no trouble at all.
The USB end plugs right in as expected as well.
The case on the cord is not only pretty, but protective and strong.  It holds up to bending, stretching, kids, pets, and all of the abuse I could think to reasonably throw at it.  While I cannot speak to the longevity of this cord yet, I am absolutely thrilled with the construction and materials and have very high hopes that this cord will outlast my need for it (given Apple's constant changing of such things)

Nature Art Coloring eBook Review

The adult coloring book craze has finally reached my house, and I am definitely in love with the idea. A fan of coloring for many years past childhood, I was stuck using my kids' color books - until now.

While I am more of a fan of pages that do not necessarily have a specific picture, more design in nature. I have purchased a couple of books and enjoyed working in them immensely, so I figured an e-book could be as much fun. It does provide me the opportunity to take up less shelf space, as I only print what I want, and can use scrap paper so I am not wasting new paper as well, which I like.

The 30 pictures in this book are very unique and the hand drawn art is quite detailed and amazing. The nature scenes are beautiful and calming to color.  Definitely worth checking out!

Indestructible Rubber Dog Ball Review

Our dog is still very much young and spunky, and full of chew, rip, tear and destroy.  Though she is over a year old now, there is only one toy I have found that she has not yet destroyed.  Until now.

The Snug Rubber Dog Balls are about tennis ball sized.  Super bouncy and tough, they are built to stand up to chewing and dog destruction, labeled as virtually indestructible.
Sold as a set of three, they are brightly colored and fun.  These balls are a decent size, and have some weight to them.
We have a small Yorkie, so these balls are admittedly a bit bigger than she needs, but it has not stopped her in the past.  Anything she can get a tooth into, no matter how big or small, is fair game.  She has chewed apart many tennis balls in her short time, so the tennis ball form is no challenge to her.

From the moment we opened these balls, I had a house full of entertained individuals, animal and human alike.  Our dog was instantly interested and ready to pounce on the ball.  She chased it all over the house and would fetch it for more fun.
So far, a week into owning these balls, she has yet to find a way to chew into one.  I cannot speak to how these balls would stand up to a larger dog, but I am one happy pet owner.

KUKPO Premium Colander Review

After using a plastic colander for many years, I decided it was time to upgrade.  My plastic colander was very small, held very little, and was not realistic for the family I have now.  So, I added this stainless steel colander to my kitchen.
This colander has a sturdy base, but short enough to make it easy for the colander to nest inside a mixing bowl.  The holes are fine but so closely spaced that it drains nicely.
Handles are coated for less slipping and easier handling.  I found these handles to feel more plastic than rubber, but they still kept my hands from getting burned from hot metal and made it easy to lift, twist and tilt the colander without having it slip from my hands.
The handles and base are welded to the colander.  They feel well attached, not wiggly or loose.
This colander is wide enough that I can rest the handles on the edges of my sink and have it hang there for raised use without need for me to hold onto it.  I really appreciate this feature.
Overall, I am glad I stepped up and got this stainless steel colander.  I have high hopes that this colander with last me many years and help me make many delicious meals for my family.
