I like the look of this bottle, and the fact that it comes with a removable loose tea/fruit basket.

The stainless interior makes it safe and sanitary while helping to maintain temperatures for long times. The lid screws on, meaning you can sip or take big drinks at your will, not that of a lid's opening or straw. This also means it can tip without worry of spill.
I was a bit in question of all the fancy packaging for a bottle that has specifically gone the way of bamboo for the exterior doe to it being sustainable. This item came in a shopping box, then in a cardboard tube which then had foam padding followed by plastic wrap before I ever got to the bottle itself. A lot of wasted stuff there. Great for a gift, I guess, it looks nice, but it seemed over the top. I also have reservations about washing it because of all the warnings directing users to not submerse or soak the outside as it will wreck the bamboo shell. Makes it a little more challenging to clean thoroughly when you can't dishwash or soak it.
This bottle gets high marks for function and appearance otherwise, and I have gotten plenty of .
compliments
In my home, all of the kitchen appliances are stainless steel. In my home, there are also a lot of young children as well as multiple adults who use the appliances daily, It is a constant struggle to keep them clean. I have tried many different avenues to accomplish this task, and a recent one I have had the opportunity to try has done a fantastic job of wiping the prints and grime off.
The Stainless Steel Cleaner & Polish by TriNova comes shipped in a plastic bag with the bottle capped and the sprayer separate to eliminate leaks. Installing the sprayer is a simple as unscrewing the lid and screwing the sprayer on.
The cleaner also comes with a soft, two sided microfiber cloth. One side is for cleaning, the other is for buffing and polishing. The cloth is generously sized, think and of great quality, this is not a cheapy piece of fabric.
This cleaner sprays on as a white liquid, which has a pleasant smell. It lifts prints away right away and also easily cleans off whatever the kids may have left behind on the handles and other surfaces. Once the surface has been cleaned, it is easy to flip the cloth over and use the other side to polish and buff the surface back to the shiny clean intended.
I didn't notice any residue left behind once I had finished cleaning. I never had to fuss with streaks either, it just wiped on smooth and came off just as easily. The surfaces seem to stay nice looking for an acceptable stretch of time. Claimed to repel fingerprints and dust, I would agree that it does work at keeping the surface looking clean longer, though I have never compared this with other products to verify this claim against others.
A little goes a long way, so this 16oz bottle will last quite a while! However, when I do run out, TriNova's Stainless Steel Cleaner & Polish will be at the top of my list.

With a dog, two cats and a rabbit living in my house, there is plenty of fur to be groomed around here. We own several different types of sturdy brushes with handles and teeth, but none that are soft and flexible, which would sometimes be more convenient. Enter the Furbliss Multi-functional Grooming Brush
This brush is made from 100% silicone that is very soft and flexible. It can bend, twist and flex with ease. As a multi-functional brush, it serves many purposes:
- Brushing and deshedding
- Massaging and soothing
- Bathing (wet or dry)
The back of the brush can be used to help loosen fur as well as remove loose furn from clothes and furniture. Many grooves in the center of the brush act as shampoo reservoir cells for use when bathing.
The yellow brush is designed for medium to large breeds. It is a good size to fit in your hand and is comfortable to hold and use.
The de-shedding teeth are triangular shaped with rounded tips and are spaced closely together for more teeth contact.
The back of the brush has many different grooves and raised edges to help with scrubbing and massaging. It also is a low profile, so it works nicely for wiping along furniture to help grab the loose fur.
Unfortunately, right now the shedding level in my house is low, but I anticipate this being a really handy tool in a month or so when the animals all start to ditch that winter coat. However, in just a few short passes, it did grab loose fur off of my cat, and this was with very little effort on my part. The silicone acts like a fur magnet, almost like it attracts the fur through static or something.
I look forward to really putting this to work when the fur starts to fly, literally!
I love traditions and fun things that keep my kids involved in what is going on with the family. We try to celebrate a lot of things together, the big holidays and the small personal victories too. When I got the chance to try out the Family Honor Plate and Let's Talk cards, I couldn't say yes fast enough!
The Family Honor Plate comes in a kit with everything you need to personalize it and make it your very own. It is very well packaged and easy to get to.
Within in the kit, you will find the plate, paints, nice pain brushes (not the cheapy ones with bristles that fall off or handles that give slivers), a paint tray with spots to mix colors and a plate stand.
The plate is a nice, heavy, finished piece that should stand up to regular wear and tear. On it is printed "Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness and Self Control"
The idea behind the Family Honor Plate is to honor a member of the family when they have displayed one of the attributes in their daily life. This can be used for every day or on more special, larger event occasions, the choice is completely up to the family. Imagine little Susie steps out of her comfort zone and helps a new student at school, or little Johnny has a great report card after lots of hard work... Maybe Dad earns a promotion or Mom remembers to be patient on a very trying day... There are so many ways to use this plate! The fun thing is that anyone can decide who should get to use it, not just Dad or Mom.
Available separately but to compliment the plate are the Let's Talk Table Thyme cards.
On a convenient flip pad, there are more than enough to fill a year with a new question each day. These are questions that invite each member to contribute thoughts and ideas and spur conversation. Even the little ones can do this!
On a sturdy cardboard stand, this set holds up nice and is easy to use.
The included paint is designed to be baked, hardening and setting up after a 30 minute bake time. With 8 colors: red, white, black, blue, orange, yellow, purple, green, there is enough color to make any picture or design you wish, and enough white to mix colors and make your own. We were sad to find that, in our box, though the paint cups were well sealed (and easy to open, thank you!) the red was completely solid and that the blue, purple and yellow were chunky and on their way to becoming solid as well. We were able to limp them along with a little water, but they did not apply smoothly or offer us much. Big bummer there!
My children were very excited to get started on the plate! We decided for ours we would let each member do their own section. As my children are younger, one just 10 months old, this will surely become a treasure as they grow in addition to the fun it will add as we use it to honor one another.
My older three worked very diligently, each perfecting her masterpiece.
Dad, Mom and baby added their parts and then it was time to bake. The baking process was super easy! Just put the plate in a cold oven, turn it on to 350 and set a timer for 30 minutes once the oven reaches temperature. After the timer goes off, turn the oven off and let the plate cool with the oven. That's it! And it's now ready to eat on.
We opted not to paint on the center of the plate, as suggested, to avoid having paint get scraped off with use. The children were very pleased with the end result and Dad and Mom agree it turned out pretty cute!
We have already put it to use, honoring our oldest daughter for her kindness to a new child at church, helping to bring the child to her class and befriend her for the whole day so she would not be lonely. What fun to give her the special plate! She had fun being the special person and the other children were chatting about how they might be able to get the plate too.

Singer Kari Jobe has a new album just hitting the market, and if you are a Kari Jobe fan, you are sure to enjoy her latest work, "The Garden" This album is filled with worshipful, contemplative songs that are collectively peaceful and slower in tempo to match the imagery of walking through a calming garden. This collection of songs is great for those meditative times of personal worship as well as for quieting one's mind and heart in preparation for time with God, or even just for relaxed listening.
Songs such as "The Garden", "Fall Afresh", and "Come Alive" echo the album title and theme. There is much focus on God's glory, power, divinity, healing and love, as is apparent in many of the song titles. There are a couple of songs featuring Cody Carnes as well. It is an album of peaceful, deep thought and focus on God.
In general, this album is not my style of music, it is much slower and quieter than I find myself desiring. For background noise, I can find a place for it, but this particular styling is not one I find myself singing along to or getting stuck in my head. However, it is a beautiful album filled with thoughtful lyrics and themes inviting times of praise, adoration and worship. Any fan of Jobe's or her style of singing is sure to find pleasure in this collection.
I recently had the opportunity to be a participant in an EQtainment Party, where I was exposed to the world of Q Wunder.
The party pack came with a board game, coloring book, travel game and weighted Q monkey.
The travel game included three sets of cards - Do, Q and You. These are the same sets of cards included in the board game, but in a much smaller tin meant just for conversation while traveling. The cards ask children questions about what they might do in a situation, give them opportunity to explore feelings and emotions and learn appropriate responses.
The board game contains a board, the same sets of questions and markers as well as instructions for play. Play is easy and follows basic board game rules with turn taking. Colors are bright and engaging, and the game is fun for children.
The die and game markers are large in size, easy for small hands to manage.
The weighted monkey is provided to teach children the value of taking time to calm down and relax. By placing Q the monkey on the child's chest, they are to breathe in for three counts and then out for three counts, over and over, inducing a sense of calm as they watch Q rise and fall.
The EQtainment folks have put thought into creating this resource for building emotional awareness and development for young children, a valuable skill in a world that has them rushing around and rarely taking time to be calm or quiet.
My children (2, 4, 6) have enjoyed playing with these toys and games and I, as mom, see a lot of value in these products.
In addition to the physical products, we were also able to use the app and watch the Q-Wunder show thanks to Tryazon. My children have enjoyed participating in those as well, and they each offer enrichment and enhancement to the Q family of products.

I was in search of a durable water bottle that could take a beating when my husband took it out into the garage or shop, as most water bottles he uses end up destroyed in quick fashion, especially the plastic variety. The Kuuk Stainless Steel Water Bottle/Thermos has provided us just that option.
This water bottle/thermos is good for hot or cold liquids. He can use it for water that stays cold for a very long time, or for coffee, which stays hot for a very long time.
The bottle is very simple in design with a flip top lid that has an option to lock when in transport in case of bumps or tips. A simple press of the button flips the lid up and open to access the spout for easy drinking. No worries about slow drinks or pressure built up from stoppers, this has an air hole that allows for liquids to pass through the opening as quickly as desired.
The inside of the bottle is stainless steel and has a wide opening for easy filling.
A tall, wide bottle, it is a lot to hold on to for smaller hands, but holds a lot of liquid - 34oz!
I have been very impressed with this water bottle and its ability to keep liquids at desired temperature for a very long time, much longer than expected. It is very durable, stands up to drops with ease. The double walls keep the liquid insulated and protect the beverage as well as hands from burns on the outside.
I have been toying with the idea of getting a bark collar for my dog for a while now. I had been advised to look into a shock collar, but with my dog being 4.5 pounds, I didn't like the idea of shocking such a small, thin skinned animal. When I came across the opportunity to obtain a shock free collar, I was immediately interested.
The Our K9 Bark Collar comes in a handy storage case and instructions are emailed as well as included for correct use. Purchasers receive multiple email messages with very explicit video instructions on use of the product.
The case comes with 2 batteries, a collar and the bark control.
This set is made for tiny dogs. The collar was much too large for my dog, but is made with many tiny breeds in mind. Video instructions clearly show you how to assemble and trim the collar to prevent fraying. I easily put it together in minutes.
Users are directed to allow and adjustment period of 24-48 hours for the dog to get used to wearing the collar before installing the battery and introducing bark correction. When the battery installation stage comes, it is easily done by removing the collar and sliding the strap aside to access the battery door.
The back of the bark control has two prongs that sit on either side of the dog's windpipe. There is also a small air sensor that triggers the collar when the dog barks by sensing air movement.
The control itself is small and comfortable fits on the dog's neck. It is a bit bigger than I anticipated for a tiny dog like mine, but she still has room on her neck for her regular collar as well, so it's not too much of a hindrance.
Once assembled and the adjustment period has passed, the collar is placed on with the battery in place and training begins. There are 8 levels of correction with this collar before it resets. The dog gets a free bark before the collar starts to offer correction, beginning with a beep at bark two, a longer beep at bark three, the beep with a short vibration at bark four and then increasing in length of beep and vibration until bark 8. Then it shuts down for 1 minute to allow the dog a break.
My dog was intimidated by the collar itself, with out any battery or correction. She spent the first 24 hours barely moving when it was on, and still cowers some when called and is less active if she is wearing it. The collar definitely needs to be on tight. I was surprised how tight. My brain tells me 2 fingers is safe for mobility, but with this collar 1 finger is all that should fit. I had to re-adjust a few times, but I could tell that it was not tight enough during the adjustment phase because it would move is she scratched, even when I thought it was already tight.
Usually by step three, my dog has ceased barking because if the beeps don't get her attention the vibration surely does. I have been using this complete with battery for about 4 days now and notice a marked difference when she wears the collar vs. when she doesn't. Things like the doorbell, visitors, people walking by, etc. would set her off before, now she is hesitant to bark or only does once or twice instead of incessantly if she is wearing the collar.
As directed, each time she barks and the collar corrects, I issue her a command to be quiet. I am hopeful that with a few weeks of this repeated behavior she will be able to go collar free and understand my command in place of the collar correction.
I am very pleased with how gentle and effective this collar is. There is no pain or discomfort beyond sound and a vibration (which I tested on myself and found it little more than a tickle). It is doing amazing things for my yapping Yorkie and I am one happy customer.
With collars in 9 different sizes, you can find one for your dog here

Ever since I got my FitBit Alta, I have been nervous about scratching the screen. I was very happy when this package showed up in my mailbox.
This package comes with 12 screen protectors, 12 dust absorbers, a cleaning cloth and a cardboard "tool" to help press the screen protector in place.
Installation is very basic and easy. Once the screen has been cleaned with the enclosed cloth, you put a dust absorber sticker over the screen to pull up any last remaining specks.
The final step is placing the screen protector film over the screen. This step left me wishing there was a bit more to the screen protector to hold onto. It is a clear sticker with a film cover on a clear sticker sheet. The protector is just a bit smaller than the screen. To pull the sticker off, you have to peel it off the sheet and end up touching the sticky side as there are no tabs on the side to aide with this, which frustrated me because then I had finger prints.
Once the sticker is in place, and hopefully not to gummed up from being touched that it will not adhere (as happened with the first attempt and resulted in me throwing one away from the start), it is time to press the protector down to get air bubbles out. I found out through my first attempt that it is better to apply from one end to the other instead of putting the full sticker on and then trying to work out bubbles. The included applicator tool was pretty useless in this step since it is a thin cardboard that bends with any pressure. My fingernail worked much better. After it was all in place and bubble free, I pulled the top film off to reveal the screen protected.
The screen protector is not hard, simply a thin plastic sticker. It does help with surface scratches, but any serious dings are going right through it. It also gets marked up easily, so I can see myself going through this 12 pack pretty quickly, especially if I have to waste some to get it right each time. There is no forgiveness with applying these, unfortunately.
However, for now, I feel a little better about wearing my Fit Bit and am hopeful for the protection it promises to offer.
