Glass Water Bottle with Silicon Sleeve Review

I enjoy having a water bottle on hand at all times, so I am always interested in trying out a new one.  This time, I got my hands on a glass bottle with a silicon sleeve sold by Purify You.  This bottle ships well protected!  It comes bubble wrapped in its own box, which ships in a bigger box.
Once unwrapped, this is a very pleasing water bottle.  It has a plastic cap with a handle for hooking onto packs with a caribiner or strap, or just for holding on to.  It is wrapped in a flexible silicon sleeve that coordinates with the cap.  I chose this aqua color, but it is also available in purple, grey, blue, pink and green.
The bottle is a thick glass that has an opening big enough that I cans slide ice cubes into it (those made by my built in ice-maker, I have not tried the self-made rectangular ones that come from trays).  The lid easily screws on and off with a couple of turns.
Even when wet from condensation, the bottle is not slippery thanks to the silicon sleeve design.  It is easy to grip.  My one complaint is that I keep dropping the lid thanks to my butterfingers, and I would have liked to see some sort of strap or lid leash included to keep it from falling off completely.  However, this does not in any way affect function and I still like the bottle.
It is dishwasher safe, so it is easy to clean.  A 12 ounce capacity, it is a smaller bottle that easily fits into vehicle cup holders and stroller trays.  This is not a "guzzle it down after a long workout" kind of water bottle, more of a sidekick for all day hydration - with refills, of course.

Thank You, God, for Mommy

Thank You, God, For Mommy
by Amy Parker
illustrated by Frank Endersby

Another really sweet book by Amy Parker.  Little Panda finds himself realizing the many things to be thankful for in Mommy... hugs, cuddles, lullabies...  She takes care of him, and offers love and guidance.  He thanks God for the many wonderful things his Mommy does for him.

A really sweet little board book, fun to explore with your child.  The perfect gift for a new Mom for Mother's Day, or for the birth of a new baby.  Illustrations are soft pastels, soothing pictures, fun to look at, inviting to the eyes.  Words are easy to understand/explain to children.  A great read together book!

Highly recommended!

A Christmas Prayer

A Christmas Prayer
by Amy Parker, Illustrated by Marijan Ramljak

This children's book is the perfect Christmas story for young children.  It is filled with capturing illustrations that will engage young children, filled with rhymes and pictures that draw young eyes and ears.  Most appropriate for ages 2-5 years, older children can enjoy reading it as well.  A padded boardbook, it is perfect for young hands, sturdy and well constructed.

On a snowy Christmas night, a young child goes from place to place in his home, praying and thanking God, ending with thanks for the best Christmas gift, Jesus.  The message is presented in a way that is interesting to young eyes and ears, while not boring to the older reader.  Illustrations are soft and clear, drawing the eye from scene to scene, including major Nativity characters.  The message of the ultimate Christmas gift - Jesus - is presented in a way young readers can understand while still sharing a spiritual message.  Highly recommended for all homes with young children, even those with infants who can grow into loving this book.
