Natural Riches Omega 3 Fish Oil Review

In my quest to live healthier, I have been taking fish oil supplements for some time.  I have tried many different kinds, some cheap, some expensive, many with the fishy aftertaste or burps. This time around, I turned my attention to Natural Riches Omega3 Fish Oil
The bottle is well sealed and packaged with an outer plastic ring seal around the cap and an inner bottle seal as well.
Once the bottle was unsealed and opened, I was curious about the smell and sniffed inside the package.  I was sad to note an obvious fishy smell.  Perhaps this is from the factory, spilled oil from inside a capsule, or just the result of having such a product in a bottle.  I noticed that the pills themselves were about average sized, a long oval shape.

The 180 capsules are an amber hue with a coating that is not sticky, but is soft and flexible if pressed.  The soft gelatin capsules have an Enteric coating to help increase the absorption of the Omega-3's (by slowing down the ability for stomach acid to break them down) and work to reduce fish burps.  Two capsules makes a daily serving.
When I consumed them, I awaited the telltale fishy evidence, but was happy to find I did not experiences any of those effects, even with my concern at the fishy smell in the bottle.  Small enough to easily swallow, they go down easily and do not lodge or taste bad on the way.

This product is made with fish caught in Chile and Peru, from smaller fish on the low end of the food chain to further reduce mercury.  Molecularly distilled, they are lab tested as well to verify purity and safety.  Made in the USA and backed by a money-back guarantee.

Pre-Natal Multi-Vitamin Review and Giveaway

As a post-natal mama, I am still taking pre-natal vitamins to maintain my health and supplement as I breastfeed and my body returns to pre-baby state.  In doing so, I try to take supplements I know are giving me the most for my money and also giving me the nutrients I need in the proportions I should be getting.

Nutri-Gold's Whole-Food Prenatal Multi Gold vitamins seek to offer such things to women.  This pre-natal does not contain vitamins or minerals in the synthetic form.  A complex of food-based nutrients concentrated from 100% certified organic fruits, vegetables, and herbs.
This vitamin is made with non-GMO foods.  Each serving delivers 100% or more of the daily values of 19 essential vitamins and minerals for complete head-to-toe protection with no aftertaste.  It can be taken with or without food, which makes it convenient to take whenever your schedule allows.

In capsule form, these pills are a size that is moderate, but not in the horse-pill category.  They go down easily and have not given me any trouble with digestion, upset stomach, aftertaste or burps as some can.

This prenatal offers the following benefits:
Cognitive Function - Folate, B6, B12, Vitamin E, Magnesium, Organic Annatto Extract, Organic Lemon Extract
Hair and Skin Health - Vitamin A, Vitamin B5 (Pantothenic Acid), Folate, Biotin, Vitamin C. Vitamin E, Copper, Iron, Selenium, Zinc, Organic Amla Extract, Organic Annatto Extract, Organic Lemon Extract
Cellular Energy Production - Vitamins B1, B2, Niacin, B5, B6, Biotin, B12, Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Magnesium, Zinc, Organic Amla Extract, Organic Annatto Extract, Organic Guava Leaf Extract, Organic Holy Basil Extract
Cardiovascular Health - Niacin, Folate, Vitamin E, Vitamin K2, Magnesium, Organic Lemon Extract, Organic Holy Basil Extract
Glucose Balance - Biotin, B12, Chromum GTF, Magnesium, Vanadium, Zinc, Organic Sesbania Extract
Bone Health - Vitamin D, Vitamin K2, Magnesium, Zinc
Prenatal Health - Vitamin B6, Vitamin C, Vitamin D, Folate, Copper, Iodine, Iron, Zinc, Organic Amla Extract, Organic Lemon Extract, Organic Curry Leaf Extract
Immune Function - Beta-carotene (and other carotenoids), Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Selenium, Zinc, Organic Amla Extract, Organic Annatto Extract
Pregnancy-related Nausea, Digestive Discomfort - Organic Ginger Extract

My only complaint is the serving size.  One serving is 4 capsules.  A bottle of 120 pills means a month supply.  I would much rather take one pill a day as opposed to 4.  Given the cost of a bottle (regularly around $40, but often on sale for under $30), these are not your local pharmacy's free pill.  Still, for the quality and ingredients, one would expect to pay a little more.
