BYB LED Flashlight Review

A good, reliable flashlight is important for me to have on hand.  I especially like to have them available in my vehicle in addition to my home.  I used to carry around those big bulky  three D-cell battery requiring flashlights, but the batteries never last or corrode long before I even use the light enough.  Enter the new era and the CREE LED flashlight.  I found this one and grabbed it up for the intent of keeping it in my van to replace my old, no-longer functioning bulky light.
This light come with a re-chargeable battery included as well as a wall charger, so no more buying and tossing batteries regularly.
The battery is easily accessed by twisting off the back of the light, exposing the Li-ion battery which easily slides out.
The battery fits easily into the charger by simply pressing the back end into one side and sliding it down until the top snaps in place.
Once the battery is installed in the charger, simply plug in and walk away.  The charger notifies the user it is working with a red LED light.
The flashlight itself is bright, with 5 light settings: high, medium, low, strobe and SOS.  Each setting is switched to by pressing the back button once, cycling through the settings to get to the one desired.
The flashlights case is a lightweight aluminum, the on/off button is a rubber press button located on the end of the flashlight.
This light is compact, easily fitting into my hand.  The light is easy to use, tucks neatly inside my vehicle for quick use if needed and is handy to have around.

Plastic and Trim Restorer Review

The season for home car washes and care is soon upon us where I live.  Winter has melted away and the temperatures are warming.  One of the things I do each spring is wash, wax, and detail my car.  There is a lot of black plastic and trim outside of my vehicle, and between regular use and wax buildup, it always looks grey or dull.  So, I purchased this product in hopes of restoring the black finish.

Trinova's Plastic & Trim Restorer comes packaged in a plastic bag to protect packaging in case of  a leak during transport. which thankfully did not happen.
It comes in an 8oz plastic bottle with a flip top lid ad a foam applicator pad.
The product itself is clear and fairly odorless. There was no harsh chemical smell or overwhelming smell.
The first nice day that came my way after purchase, I set out to see what this could really do for my car.  I chose to start with the mirror mount on the door.  It always looks awful because it gets hit with windshield run-off as well as weather and whatever else mother nature has in store.  It was spotted, grayed and dull.
Application of the product was simple.  I just squeezed a little of the liquid onto the applicator pad and rubbed it into the vehicle trim, rubbing so it was uniformly distributed.  It took very little product to achieve the desired results.  Once it dried, I buffed it a little with the same applicator pad and took a step back.  I was very pleased!  Such a difference and with very little effort.  I am anxious to put this to use on the rest of my vehicle when it comes detail and wax time.

PURGGO Car Air Freshener Review

I am not a big fan of scented car air fresheners.  The never last, there are very few scents I actually like, they are so overpowering at first and then not noticeable after just days...  They just don't seem worth it to me.  But, I wanted something for my car to address the pent up winter/wet car smells that accumulate in the cold weather months.  When I came across the opportunity to try this bamboo charcoal air freshener from Purggo, I took it.
Right away, I was impressed with this product.  It comes packaged so simply yet attractively.  With a sleeve just big enough to house the item and no overkill, it simply and easily explains how to use the product without added inserts and wasted paper.
Once removed from the package, one finds a simple dark gray pillow of sorts with a blue cord handle.
The cord is well secured to the air freshener by webbed straps sewn onto the back of the product.
These cords, for hanging the air freshener on the car seat headrest, are easily adjustable simply by sliding the cord.
Installation is simple.  Just slip the cord over top of the vehicle headrest in whichever seat location you choose and slide the knots along the cord to adjust the length at which it hangs.  I opted to remove my headrest and slide the cord through the seat handle and then over the headrest posts to make leave the entry handle accessible.
Once in place, the air freshener is pretty much out of the way and not really noticeable unless you look for it.  I t does really seem to work. Of course, that can't be proven, but I do not notice the closed up winter car smell I had been noting, so i believe it is doing what it is designed to.
What I love about this air freshener:
- the pouch is filled with bamboo charcoal, a natural odor absorber
- there is no scent that comes from the air freshener.  No perfumey smell to cover over odors,
- it is easy to use
- it lasts for 365+ days.  Directions suggest placing it out in the sunshine occasionally to help dry out any moisture it might absorb.  Aside from that, there is no maintenance, and it lasts for a whole year!

I am very pleased with this product and definitely recommend it.

Car Kick Mat Seat Back Protector Review

With three little kids, a small dog, and a fabric interior, my mini-van is a prime target for all sorts of dirt and grime anywhere little feet can reach.  I am ok with people knowing I have children, and even a sticker here or there on occasion, but filthy car seats from muddy feet are not acceptable to me.  So, seat back protectors are a must in my vehicle.

These new seat back protectors are so-so in my book.  I have a couple of others from different companies, but went with this set because there were to in a pack, a better value.

First impression was that the package was to thin to have two inside.  I opened it up to find two folded into squares.
Upon unfolding the protector, it felt even thinner.  This is a basic vinyl fabric piece with edges sewn and two buckles.  The bottom buckle is elastic to fit around various seat widths while the top is a fabric strap with room to adjust.
These are advertised to be extra big to cover any seat.  I would say average size.

I tried them out in my van, one on either side of a chair to protect the seat front from my rear-facing infant's feet and the seat back from my precocious toddler's feet.
The protector does cover the majority of my seat back (and front), but was not nearly as nice to install as others.  With the fixed length buckle on top, meant to go around seat headrests, I found myself with a problem.  The seat I wanted to install it on had the headrest removed for visibility, so I had nowhere to really hook it.  I ended up flipping the protector upside down to use the elastic belt at the top, but then there was no good way to attach it to the bottom of the seat.  I tucked the buckles into the seat, but they pop out every so often.

Because I had a unique situation, I will not base my opinion of these on that only.  I say they are so-so because of their basic size which compares as the same or a bit smaller than others I have.  I also have a less than ecstatic opinion of them due to buckle and strap limitations.  The thinness of fabric is the biggest reason I am not real thrilled but just feel so-so about them.

That said, they do protect my seats and seem to be wipeable or washable if need be, so I guess they do the trick as they advertise.  For someone who needs a budget friendly option and does not need specialized installation adaptations or care about how thin the fabric is, these will do just fine and function as they should, to keep the car seat fabric clean.

My so-so feelings aside, I am glad to have them as they are definitely helping to keep my seats clean.
