Supernova 300 Ultra Bright LED Camping Lantern Review

We are big campers in my house.  We are among the few who enjoy tent camping.  This means there is a certain amount of gear that is necessary that others with camping trailers might not need.  We always find ourselves in need of light.  In the past, we have used propane lanterns and flashlights.  With little ones in tow now, we feel less safe about having gas and flame lanterns, so we were in the market for a better solution.  When I found this lantern, I was quite excited to give it a try!

The Supernova lantern is one of the longest lasting out there, with a promised 6 days of continuous use.  The high-efficiency LED lantern does not give off heat that could harm belongings or people.

It runs on three D batteries, which add weight to the lantern, but it still remains considerably lightweight and comfortable to carry around.
It is made of rubber and plastic, making it great for outdoors and whatever camping might throw at it.  Dropping it or getting it wet in rain will not affect it's function.
One cool feature is that the top can be removed to provide a more focused light.
A flashing led indicator light makes it easy to locate in the dark or an emergency, which makes it valuable to have around the home as well, for instances such as power outages or other emergencies.

Another cool feature is it's ability to hang upright or upside down, with sturdy hooks provided in both locations.  I can easily hang this in my tent and it does not strain the fabric or hooks like other flashlights would do.  It is also much safer and provides so much more light than using a flame lantern in the tent.
I am very pleased with the look and function of this lantern, and look forward to putting it to use this summer.  Until then, it will remain at hand in my home for emergency situations, and I feel confident that when I need it, it will be ready to perform.

I received this product for free in exchange for my honest and un-biased review.
